"I am a lover of life and people and remain ever curious as to what it is that brings us to that place of inner peace and wellbeing."
In fact it was this curiosity that led me, over 25 years ago, into the Health and Wellness profession. During this time I have had the privilege of working in a wide variety of settings, including the Kalahari desert where I lived and worked with the Bush people. More traditionally, I have also worked with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, hospices for children and adults, GP surgeries, schools, care homes, shelters for the homeless and businesses. Over the years I have discovered and trained in many different therapeutic modalities which I use to support people of all ages.
I understand not only the inter-relationship between our physical and emotional health but also the interplay between our personal wellbeing, our environments and communities.
Wherever I am and whatever therapeutic work I am doing, the one thing that I consistently witness and experience is the incredible healing power of human connection. Whether it be through gentle touch or through being compassionately seen and heard, it can return you to a sense of peace and wholeness.
My own challenges
For years I too struggled with my own challenges. These included dyslexia, an eating disorder and low self-esteem. By applying all that I have learnt in my therapeutic training and holistic work, I have thankfully been able to transform my health and my life.
The following quotes always inspired me on..
"Follow your bliss" - Joseph Campbell
"Be the change you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi
‘The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.’ Joseph Campbell
I now love my work and my aim is to:
a) support, inspire and empower children and adults to find freedom from ‘pain’ and ‘fear’ so they can feel well, be at peace and say ‘yes’ to who they are and all life offers.
b) teach carers and new parents about the connection and healing that pure, simple, gentle touch can bring..
All my work is imbued with creativity and stories as it is through our imagination that we find liberation.
